Dive into Zima Blue - New planet to colonize!


Zima was once a water world. Now it’s frozen solid. Will you discover what alien machinery is hidden under the ice?

With the v0.6.0 update you can colonize another planet in the Trappist-1 system. Build new buildings and enjoy various UI and technical improvements.

This brings the total number of available colonies in Trappist to 6. And Zima comes with a special feature.

On Zima you can build above and below the ice, and seamlessly transition between the two. After discovering the secret hidden below you can drastically alter the colony site itself.

There are new buildings to build on either the surface or below. And more will be added in the following updates.

Trappist supports DirectX 11/12 on Windows, Vulkan on Linux and Metal on macOS respectively. Unfortunately this build had to drop OpenGL support.

These APIs are well supported now and Trappist still runs great, even on an integrated gpu. I actually do most of my own development and testing with an Intel UHD 620! Please let me know if you do encounter issues.

  • Store the “building with or without a grid” option in the player settings
  • Store the “continuous build” option in the player settings
  • Upgraded to latest Unity 2022.3
  • Dropped OpenGL support, Trappist now requires DirectX 11/12, Vulkan or Metal on Windows, Linux and macOS respectively
